The past is right under our feet! Find out more about the history of the Old Crypt Schoolroom. What did the archaeologists find when they dug up the floor?
Some hands-on activities for children to explore how archaeologists find out about the past together with an exhibition about the two excavations in the Schoolroom and what we have learned from them. You’ll be able to see some of the finds and fit them into the history of Gloucester.
You’ll also get a sneak preview of information on the significant Roman stones discovered in Southgate Street during the 2018 building works.
Free entry with donations invited towards fundraising for the display of the Roman stones.
Refreshments available. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
