Alison Summerskill leads two sessions of Godly Play for families. Sessions involve storytelling using objects and artefacts. The children then spend time thinking, talking and exploring the story before creating individual responses in whatever way they choose – art-making, play, writing…. The session finishes with the sharing of a simple feast.
Drop-in sessions at 2pm and 3.30pm – no need to book.
Godly play is a Christian movement centred on childhood spirituality. Based on Montessori principles, it responds to the child’s request to ‘help me do it by myself.’
Interactive, creative and imaginative, Godly Play can help you see and do things differently
“In most religious education children are told who God is.
In Godly Play children discover who God is.”
