A drama based on a true crime story set in Gloucester in the 1800s. A young woman and man meet for the first time in jail. Will they hang, or will fate provide them with a reprieve? The hangman tells the tale.

Written by Lou Becket and directed by Mike Greenwood.

Part of Gloucester History Festival: City Voices.

17.15 – 18.00 – Taking a Long View: a discussion with Q & A about women in the prison system, past and present, with playwright Lou Becket, director Mike Greenwood, local historian David Elder, and representatives from The Nelson Trust. Tickets include the discussion with refreshments and either the 16.00 or 19.00 performance. Please specify when booking.
